I am including a link to a thread that this neck just sold on, and after the buyer loosened the truss rod he was unable to get it adjust back to as flat as he liked ... I had used this neck for several years, with flatwound Chromes and never had an issue ... I probably never put more than a total of a 1/2 turn on the truss rod the entire time I used it, always manually moving the neck into the position I wanted, and then putting a very slight turn on the truss rod to hold it ... the truss rod and nut is intact, and works fine ... it just will not bring the neck into a slight back-bow by itself (to straight under string tension) without maxxing out ...

I am likely done playing seriously after this summer concert series, and am in the process of minimizing stuff on hand, so now just moving this along at a good price (the machine heads sell for 1/2 of the price I am asking for the whole loaded neck) ... this did come back to me with a small scratch on the underside of the headstock that was unnoticed previously, I will try to include a pic of that as well ...

SOLD - Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass Neck ... Loaded!!

This neck is fully loaded, with vintage reverse tuning machines, and will also come with screws and neck plate ... consider the neck needing jig time, or washers, etc to put it in a back bow .. so priced accordingly ... These are very nice necks!!

$149 shipped ... to lower 48 only please

Probably worst case scenario to have an excellent neck at a VERY good price ... truss rod and nut are completely functioning, it appears to be just a matter of starting the neck in a slight back bow ... I have done this method in the past on a few necks, and it works ...

Tom, here is your neck installed on my P body. I put it on there as is to see where it is. The action is a tad high but really not bad at all, very playable as is. I think I will order a set of TIs and do the jig thing when I get ready to change the strings. The bass is gigable as is right now. I could do nothing more and be fine with the action. I want to thank you for a very smooth transaction and a great neck. You have been a pleasure to deal with.
