A work of art from the “Fodera of Japan”, built around 2008. Uniquely-figured quilted top and matching headstock of Japanese Tamo Ash in trans green over a two-piece ash body. Grain has been enhanced for a very special look. One-piece flame maple neck, 33” scale. Ebony 24-fret board with exotic wood fret-marker inlays, using a slightly darker wood for frets above vs. below the 12th fret. Fancy STR inlays on the headstock and at the 12th fret. STR bridge with 19 mm string spacing, Gotoh tuners. Aguilar OBP-3 3-band preamp. Controls are: master volume, blend, passive tone roll-off, and bass, mid, and treble boost/cut. Mini-toggles are active/passive and mid-frequency selector. Current pickups are Lindy Fralin hum-cancelling split-coils. Will also ship with the OEM STR Custom-Shop single coils; both sets are standard J sizes. Bass weighs 8 lbs., 5 oz. and plays well with very low action. It is in excellent condition. There are a few clear-coat scratches on the back and sides that do not penetrate the finish and a little tarnish on the base of the bridge. It will be shipped with its very high quality STR-branded gig bag. Or, I can send it in an excellent-fitting beige tolex G&G case instead for an additional $40. Free shipping to CONUS. Sorry, not interested in trades at the moment.
