USA made neck thru construction, mother of pearl oval inlays, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, Neutrik output jack, second generation model with the Cirrus style pickups, generic hard shell case included. My scale has this bass at a 9.4 pounds.
I will miss this great bass, I saw Billy Joel live in Winnipeg about 25 years ago and bassist Schuyler Deale was playing a TL5 in this very color transparent black....possibly the first 5 string bassist I saw live in concert.
The $640 US firm price includes shipping (Canada Post Expedited parcel/ United States Postal Service) - to Canada and continental US (Hawaii and Alaska buyers that price becomes $650 US Dollars). I played Schuyler's TL-5 many times - he had the original pickups replaced with EMG's (and EMG electronics too, I think), and it was a great sounding bass. Because of that I always had it in my mind to pick up a TL-5 if I ever ran across one, which I did a couple years ago. They are very underrated and undervalued instruments, and whoever ends up with this one will be very happy!

Nice. I snagged a TL-Five earlier this year off of the 'Bay...pro quality in my opinion...these basses are one of the best deals out there. Good luck! :thumbsup:

Awesome looking instrument. If I didn't have 4 already I'd be all over it. FWIW, the pickups are the first version of the active VFLs with flat tops. Also used on the 5 string Dyna Bass of the same period. From the serial # it's a 1992.

I know that in general, a lot of basses are sticking around for a long time on the classifieds these days, but I am honestly surprised to see this one still here, given how great a reputation and the "bang for the buck" factor these USA Peaveys have. Heck, I already have a perfectly fine TL-5, but yet I find myself tempted by this one...drool
