Sold to a guy who saw my WB demo vids. Shipped across the country for the asking price.

Happy to consider all offers.

Wishbass #1195 Black Limba Lobe. Like most WB's, fretless, very robust neck with no truss rod. Fingerboard has been leveled by very skilled luthier, Fren Asken of Asken Guitars, and then covered in Mylar. Mylar is a simple, easy and inexpensive way to add a protective coat to your fingerboard. It is clear, 3 mil, with it's own adhesive backing. Feels and sounds great

I sanded the entire bass and refinished with Tru Oil. I don't remember how many coats but I never do less than 8 and usually get bored by around 12, so somewhere in that range.

Edit: I forgot to mention the wood, body is Black Limba. The neck is Purpleheart, with Maple(?)
And Mahogany(?)

The original floating Corian Bridge and string through holes have been replaced with a Hipshot A style, black Aluminum, 19mm string spacing bridge, and the holes have been filled with wood epoxy. You can see in the back photo the filled holes, sanded and finished, but not color matched.

The electronics have been replaced with a DiMarzio DP 128 hum canceling pickup, all passive, with an older 16 position Tonestyler for bass. Tonestyler is a great, multiple capacitor Low Pass Filter.

This body style is very comfortable, sitting or on a strap. Bass weighs 10 lbs. Nut width is 1 5/8". It has Dunlop Dual straplocks installed, which will work with any normal strap, but if you have Dunlops already you can lock it down.

I don't often play fretless, and when you have 4 equally awesome fretless that turns out to be one or two too many. This is actually not my least favorite one. I chose a good one to sell because I'd like to bolster the rep of Wishbasses, (even though it's come a long way from "factory" condition), and frankly, I offer this instrument out of a love for Talkbass. I want to do something nice for the TB community, so I'll sell my crappy stuff on Craig's list....

$550 includes shipping to anywhere in CONUS. Local cash pickup in Los Angeles will save you $50. Thanks for reading, take a look too, she is a Beauty, not just all tone.

There is a small fingernail sized router mistake, (had to recess the bridge) on the G string, pickup corner of the route, and a small splintering next to the output jack, that I have tried to show in the last two pix.

Added one more picture at the end to show that I have relocated the strap button from the backside, to pointing forward. No extra charge for the hole.

I've watched your Wishbass demo videos and I love that deep, earthy groan that is inherent to these basses.
What's the neck thickness like on this particular example? Did you shave or slim it down from it's original mammoth girth?

I have shaped all my Wishbass necks, only a few have been dramatically reduced, and they are all still thicker than any other basses I own. This one is 1 3/16" front to back at the nut, and 1 1/4" at the 12th fret. I find his necks very comfy.

Are you going to be selling any of your others?

That scarab #189 is dreamy!!!
I will be selling a couple more basses soon, likely a Wishbass among them. Scarab 189 was traded last year to Shane, the owner of Timewarp Music in Los Angeles, a great used store. He was going to use it in a Black Sabbath tribute band. I mention this because he may still have it and might be willing to sell. You can find Timewarp Music online.

It looks like I have a sale pending from a guy who saw my Youtube reviews.
