I am sadly selling my trusted Alleva Coppolo LM5 that I acquired in 2009 when Jimmy first moved his shop to Upland, CA. This was one of the first basses built out of that shop and it was my main gigging bass for a long time. It was also used on my debut CD so why am I selling it? It is such a great quality bass that truly captures that 70's passive jazz bass tone BUT my tone goals have changed and it does not get much playing time. I honestly went back and forth with myself about selling it for a longggg time but decided it is too great of a bass to not get any playing time so it's here.
This bass is transparent black with a white pearloid pickguard. It also has an ash body, satin-finished maple neck and fingerboard with the vintage yellow stain, Alleva Coppolo hand-wound pickups in the 70's position, Alleva Coppolo 2-band (bass/treble) boost only 9-volt preamp with tone control and an active/passive circuit, Hipshot bridge, and the pull-out battery compartment that Jimmy is no longer using on the current models.
This bass will also ship with fairly new D'Addario NYXL strings and the Alleva Coppolo gig bag.
PayPal payments only and the price includes shipping.
