!TRADED!!
I am seriously considering the sale of my 1990 Fender Fretless jazz. This is MIJ and unlined. Essentially an inspired 1962 Jazz bass, right down to he copper grounding strip connecting the bridge pickup to the bridge!
I love this bass and as you can see from the pictures it is really clean. Being as it is black there is the usual light swirling on the back that would easily buff out. Other than that, this bass is lightly worn and the fingerboard has absolutely not pitting are marking. The pickguard appears to be an aftermarket replacement to go black on black , though I cannot be 100% certain. It does lift every so slightly in one area as I tried to picture.
A couple of years ago, I brought the bass to a professional luthier and had the neck radius changed to to 14" which has significantly upgraded the bass. I mean, what a difference! The bass plays so much more easily and smoother now. It made me fall in love with the bass all over again!
Not much else to say really. As we know, unlined Fender fretlesses are no longer made, and Fender is no longer making basses in Japan so this is something that should hold its value for a long time to come. As such it would make a great long term purchase for a fretless enthusiast.
I am asking $TRADED shipped CONUS, add $25 for shipping to MST or PST time zones. The bass will be shipped in a gig bag and packed bombproof.
Pictures below. If you have any questions, please PM me.
Thanks.
