Up for trade is a Sire Marcus Miller V7 5 string in transparent white (looks a bit pink in the pictures)! It is not a light bass, after many trials on a cheap home bathroom scale the best average I got was 11.7lbs. This bass is a killer player and in great shape but at the moment I am looking to move away from Fender style basses and look for something a bit more progressive. Definitely looking to replace this with another 5 string! No preference when it comes to active or passive so please, offer away!

Hey you Sure on The weight !
I've played two different sire V7 5 Basses & neither one felt anywhere near over 11 pounds!

Ok.
Here's a tip.. advertising 11.7 pounds when not 100% sure is not the best way on selling your bass! It will probably scare away some potential buyers!
I would be abosolutely sure on weight before posting it! I'm almost positive it's not that heavy!
Google it ! I'm sure some body out there knows actual weight! Can't even imagine doing an average 2/3 sets gig on an 11.7 pound Bass! good luck on sale!

Google it? I don't understand what you mean by this? The bass is either that heavy or it isn't. You can look through the Sire thread here on TB, the weight for these is all over the place. The seller/trader's scale could be off, sure. But it's an ash jazz bass. I have an Fender Jazz bass that's a 4 string, and it's around 12 lbs. Perhaps not preferred by all to have a heavier bass, but it's not uncommon and it isn't going to bother everyone.
