why would you keep two sterling 4h's and sell the HH? what's the weight on this thing?

It's about 9.4 pounds. I'm keeping the 4Hs because I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone. I need a 5 for a new project and I'd love to pick up a 5HH. That takes care of the extra pickup thing and the need for the B string. Plus I think this bass is worth more than the others and should attract a 5 string of similar value.

But like I said, at this point I'm just trying to gauge interest unless someone offers up something that I can't resist.

I'm still thinking about this. Thanks for all the trade offers. I'd like something lighter (under 9 pounds if possible), with two pickups, so either an HH or HS.

That's a gorgeous bass you have there, but I think I've decided just to hold on to the Sterling for now. Who knows, I may change my mind again.

Good luck in locating a Sterling 5HH. I have been looking for one for a while and have not found one with a rosewood fingerboard that looks good for a reasonable amount of money.
If you check eBay there is one in Brooklyn 2 hours from you , but the price is over what I think it is worth. Also, I would expect it to be for sale only. Cheers...

Yep I am pretty sure that is the one that is 10.5 pounds. There is another one that is only 9 pounds but I don't like the natural, high gloss finish body.
Sorry but if I am going to have to spend close to $1500 I might as well wait for one that is good looking that I really like a lot, and is not heavier than 9.5 pounds.
I might possibly buy a new one eventually but I am not quite ready to spend that much cash.

I have an 2007 LTD Bongo that exactly like this 4hh with piezo... Any interest? In jersey as well... It has a painted neck, thats the only reason i cant get along with it.

I've been getting a lot of interesting offers. Keep them coming. I've updated the post to include lined fretless basses as well. I'd still prefer a 5 at this point, but I will eventually be back in the market for a lined fretless.

I haven't really thought about it. There was one just like mine on eBay recently but with a maple neck and the guy wanted close to two grand. I thought that was a bit high to be honest. There's a non limited edition sunburst one with a starting bid of $1400 on there currently. I would say in between based in what I've seen them go for. But I don't know if that's fair or if these people are smoking crack to be asking that much.

Very nice 4HH I'll throw it out for you I have a 5 string lined fretless G&L L2500 USA with the blueburst finish and G&L hardshell case. I love it but, the 5 is causing problems with the heel of my left hand when I play for very long. Of course it is more like 10 lbs, if you're set on an EBMM no probelm.

Yeah, that's a bit heavy for me. Sounds like an awesome bass though.
