I recently purchased this Gibson SG Standard bass ... I'm a bass player and an amateur collector and I thought it would be cool to have a "Classic" looking, sounding bass like the SG
The problem is I didn't realize how short the scale was until she was delivered.... She's sounds fantastic, is in truly outstanding condition, freshly set up, brand new strings and just a really great bass, I simply cannot get used to the scale length and that sucks.
Here's some specs:
Years of Production: 2005 - present
Body Style: Solidbody
Wood Composition: Mahogany body and neck, two-per-side Shamrock bass tuners, one covered full-size bass humbucker pickup (neck) and one covered mini-humbucker pickup (bridge)
Design Elements: Set neck, 30.5" short scale, black headstock overlay MOP logo and holly inlay, double cutaway
I'm a big guy and I'm used to playing long scale basses almost exclusively ... So I'm looking to sell her and basically just recoup what I paid for her.
She comes with a plush lined Gibson OHSC and a set of strap locks.
I'm asking $1,000 OBO plus I'll cover the shipping costs as long as its CONUS
I'd prefer a cash sale but I'm open to trades too, I don't have anything in mind in regards to a trade so feel free to make suggestions, I'm open.
