Update: I bought some shielding paint and CTS wiring harness to upgrade the electronics and reduce any grounding issues.

Trade interests: EMG BQS system and preamps, Darkglass pedals, MM style sweet spot bass, warmoth parts, wenge or exotic necks.

Prefer instruments under 9 lbs.

Neat. What is the scale (I seem to recall 35" on these, but I could be wrong), nut width, and string spacing?

Also, dig your sig, which we often see only in abbreviated version on parti-colored bumper stickers. Quoted here for appreciation and attribution (and appreciation of attribution)!

This one is actually 34" scale. Nut width is 1.75" and string spacing is tighter 16.5/17mm.

Very nice bass for the money. Plays well and the neck feels great.

After upgrading the electronics I am just so impressed with the quality of this bass and its great tone. The low B is exceptional on this 34" scale at this price point. If you are looking for a great Jazz 5er with tighter string spacing, it would be harder to find a better value.

Post upgrade and put on some EMG knobs. You can see a few dings and there is a scratch on the neck that is visible, yet barely feelable. Might not bump this thread but it is available until I click otherwise.

Huge price drop because there is a bass I want to snag. Pay up to 30 for shipping and I'll eat the rest.

Yes. It is known as the S1 switch mod common in Jazz basses. Runs the single coils as a humbucker. Definitely a fuller thicker tone, but I play rock. I rarely run it with out that engaged. Still passive as well. After watching your video the SF's seem a little more organic if that is a word. Both sound great.
