This is a "bucket list" rig that I put together over the last few years. There's an ADA MB-1 preamp (fresh Mullard AX7s), ADA B500B power amp, and ADA MPC MIDI foot controller loaded in an SKB 4U rack case.
The MB-1 lets you combine tube and solid state gain stages. Powerful EQ section. Very musical compression and surprisingly usable chorus effect. Two different effects loops. Option for crossover/bi-amping. And it's all programmable.
For example, you can put a octaver in one effect loop and an overdrive plus compressor in the other. Then you can create a presets with whatever combination of EQ, compression, on-board overdrive/chorus, and effects loop you want. Very powerful and much easier to use than you'd think.
