Yamaha RBX800A 4-string Electric Bass Guitar

  • Pearl White with Black headstock
  • Circa 1991-1992
  • Serial number: PM15178
  • 24 fret Rosewood fretboard
  • P/J (dual) pickup setup - fantastic tone
  • Active electronics
  • 8.5 lbs - super lightweight
  • Very clean condition
  • No visible scratches anywhere, normal fine scratches from use (barely visible)
  • One “dig” on lower horn, slightly concealed with nail some polish. Barely visible from front view. A small amount of effort will render it unnoticeable or live with it as-is. Does not affect the sound or playability at all. Shown in "lower horn" picture.
  • Cutaway design that makes for effortless playing on the high frets
  • Original owner – purchased 1992
  • All original knobs and hardware
  • Straight neck - never adjusted (100% truss rod life remains)
  • Frets in excellent condition
Case not included but negotiable – old style quite heavy. You might be better off saving the additional shipping cost and picking up a case near you since cases are pretty reasonable nowadays.

Paypal is preferred but I'll work with you (cashier's check, etc.).

Price does not include shipping costs

No trades please.

Japan made? Has the Roscoe Beck favored Gotoh 206 bridge... These older ones (especially this nice), are a "wormhole" in the cost to value ratio market. GLWTS!!

Tried one of these in a pawn shop. I would have bought it if it was in better shape because it was light, fun to play, and ohh baby that 80s-early 90s look.

Well, here’s an opportunity to revisit that decision! It is super lightweight - one of my picture shows it on the scale… it is 8 1/2 pounds exactly.
There is a small dig on the lower horn as indicated, but other than that it looks brand new. I took great care of it. It plays great as well.
