Yes, you saw it right. This MTD Super 5 weighs 7.4lbs! It is the lightest bass I have ever owned and it does not lack in tone whatsoever. I have played a few other Super 5s and this sounds as good or better than any I have played. Now to the good stuff. It is a blue burst finish on an Empress body with maple neck and beautiful birdseye board. Matching headstock and truss rod cover. 35" scale 1 13/16" nut with 19mm spacing at the bridge. It has coil taps for each pickup which gives you tons of tonal options. The switches go from single to dual coil. 3 band EQ with push/pull on the mid pot to choose between 400 and 800hz. Push/pull on the volume put for active/passive. The bass is in mint condition and comes with the original MTD/Protec gig bag, MTD letter and tools.
$3600 shipped Cont US. Street price for a new one with these options is $5300 Trades: I am really looking for an MTD Saratoga P/J 5, F Bass P/J 5 or a Dingwall Z3. But, you can throw other offers at me. Just don't be offended if I turn it down. This is a great bass. So I am not in a super hurry to see it go.
These aren't the best pictures I have done. I don't have my studio lighting setup right now. So, it's not perfect. But, the bass is beautiful.
