Custom built for the bassist for New Found Glory and originally equipped with some sort of Duncan P pickup, it came back to the factory and was returned to more or less original status. It isn’t mint because that guy (name escapes me) toured with it for a bit and then I bought it and played it on stage and actually recorded an entire live album with it while a Bongo and a Caprice sat idle nearby. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, am I right?
It is clearly a rather horrifying green, which I like quite a bit but understand if you don’t. (My advice is: don’t buy it if you hate the color because it’s hard to ignore.) There are no big dings on the body; it’s just a little dull from use and could be polished up nicely. The pickguard has normal wear because it’s a pickguard, isn’t it. Electronics are now standard Music Man and work as they should. It’s really a beast of a bass. The neck is roasted maple and the photos will show you what you’re getting. It is fabulous.
Black-faced headstock but oh my the back of the headstock will make you feel funny in a good way.
It’s one of a kind. No one else will ever have one like this. I do not suggest that you baby it or stash it away for collectors down the road because it’s a beast of a bass and will shame any P basses in the general area. It will make them cry and beg for their mommies.
Shipping has become so out of control that I have to build that in. So it’s 1500 shipped to the US and sorry, no international unless I already know you, your name is Magnus and you live in Sweden. That’s my only exception. If you are local to DFW Texas, pick it up and save 100 bucks. I do have a hardshell case for it, which is included. It’s strung with EB Cobalt Flats and I suggest you keep them on!
Thanks.
