*************************
It looks like the P bass is sold.
Jazz bass is still up for sale!
More Jazz bass pics in later post below.

I will add that I am ONLY looking for a Mesa Subway 112 or D-800 if anyone is interested in a trade.

Hello,
Up for sale are my two Fender Player Series basses with lots of upgrades. They were purchased new this year and never have left my office. I have upgraded them both with the $300 + Fender MIM roasted necks from Fender. Hipshot ultralight tuners which were $$$$!!!
Ashtray covers and Fender Corona back neck plates from Fender. The action is set low on both.
The Jazz has the original pickups and pickguard.
The Precision has Fender Original 62 pickups with a mint green pickguard. I do have the original white pickguard and pickups for the P bass though.

Here are the cons...
On the Jazz I drilled a VERY small pilot hole for the back screw hole for the E string tuner that went all the way through the headstock. I used wood putty to cover it on the front, and it has been good to go ever since. Please see last pic.

On the P bass there is a slight scratch on the right side of the ashtray cover that I could not capture with the camera. Also, one of the wires that connects the pots had a short in it. I had a local guy re-soldered it, but I want to make sure that is disclosed.

The necks and the Hipshot tuners are almost worth more than half the price alone on them. They both come with new light scale Fender rounds on jazz and flats on the P bass.

I will pay for shipping and packaging through FedEx with insurance. This will cost me $$$$, but it’s worth it. It will ship in original Fender Box. Please know that they did not and will not come with a case/bag.

They are both great sounding and light weight, but I have no way to weight them. I am only selling them because I have twelve other basses and I mostly play my Fender Professionals that I am in love with!

Asking $600 each for them shipped only conus using PayPal for payment option only.

I NEVER play 4 stringers anymore, yet I find myself wanting to buy BOTH of these!!! GLWTS!
Thanks!

I guess I better add that I am looking for an all original 4 string MIA Fender Jazz. That is what this money will be going for, so that would be the only trade.

I have a really nice bathroom digital scale, and it has...
Jazz at 8.8 pounds
P bass at 8.4 pounds.

I did not realize this until now, but the Jazz has two slight dark spots under the paint.
they are hard to notice, hence that is why I am just know noticing them.

All messages have been replied to, thanks.

Just to add...
Satin finish on the back of the necks and gloss only on the fretboards.

All messages have been replied too. Sorry for the delay, I didn’t know these were so popular.

Both are still for sale.

Well they look great, especially the jazz. If I wasn’t near the end, I’d bite.

So, I bought a really cheap bag to ship this bass out in since I thought it would be a little harder to sell than the P bass.
The neck on this Jazz is very comfortable!

Checked others and this is very good pricing. Will someone please buy so I don’t wind up doing it myself. I like them by looks a lot but have no need for them and am supposed to be saving for medical expenses. Ay caramba...

Adding fuel to the fire.
This is fun for me, and why I like Talkbass. I have medical issues that prevent me from playing out, so I tend to collect a lot of equipment to keep things interesting for me. I usually sell to make more room, and sell for cheap. I enjoy that instruments like these go to others that will enjoy them.

I will add that I am ONLY looking for a Mesa Subway 112 or D-800 if anyone is interested in a trade.

As someone who has been holding off on buying a Fender Roasted Maple Jazz Bass Neck, these pictures are not making it any easier to resist... How comfortable is that jazz neck?

Both of those basses are gorgeous! GLWTS!
