Here is a like-new German Sandberg VM5 in a killer 3-tone sunburst with tort pickguard.
I recently purchased to see first hand what all the hype was about and this bass sure did deliver. They are fantastic handmade instruments with killer electronics. Even more incredible is the value for the money.
Unfortunately, I must sell to pursue other interests.
This one has an alder body, maple neck, and beautiful rosewood fingerboard.
It has the Sandberg 2-band preamp (made by Glockenklang) with treble and bass boost and cut and pickup pan. Pulling up on volume knob puts the bass into passive mode and the treble dial becomes a tone control.
Sandberg big pole pickups sound huge and punchy with plenty of low end. Coupled with the preamp it has a large presence in the tone department. Neck pickup is a reverse P and bridge position is a MM style humbucker.
It is quite effortless to play with a fantastic relatively thin D style neck and capable of very low action. Fretwork is impeccable.
The hardware on these basses is amazing, especially the bridge.
