I recently got this Sterling 5H on trade. It is in excellent condition with only a couple of very minor dings (tiny) and the usual very light pickguard fingernail swirl. It plays great, sounds fantastic, and looks wonderful. Comes with the perfect condition original case. Weight is a very reasonable 9.26 pounds for a five string.
There is nothing wrong with this bass--it's NOT a dog. Great bass in all respects. You are getting essentially a nearly new-condition bass. Neck is straight and the bass in general has the typical Music Man high-quality build. I'm not sure of the year, but it has the newer California logo, so it is quite recent. I have no need for a 5-string at this point, so this li'l lady is now a closet queen. But you can save her from such a sad and cruel fate. Smokey says, "Only You Can Prevent Closet Queens."
Trades unlikely (only thing I'd consider at all right now is a Rickenbacker 4004 or a Fender US Geddy Lee Jazz). Price of $950 includes shipping to lower 48 US.
