Plays great, sounds great, but I really don't like the full size body. It just feels uncomfortable compared to my other basses. It's not you, it's me!
Neck pocket has two serial stickers.
One identical to the headstock dating to 1978, another unknown underneath it.
The control pots show 1981.

This is either late 70's parts that were built but not used until the early 80's (happened quite a bit back then), or replacement pots from 1981.
No way to tell.

Schaller and Dunlop strap lock ends (bass side only)
Neck pickup cover
Fret wear is negligible at best

Beautiful bound and blocked neck
Black finish
Honest player wear, with two extra holes from a bridge cover experiment at some point. A bit of fading of the clear coat along the neck binding, and one of the inlays is cracked.
There were Hipshot ultralight tuners on it, so there are other little screw holes hidden in the back of the headstock. See photos.
I think it's the perfect amount of wear for an instrument of this era. It doesn't look beat up, but you also won't mind when you inevitably add to the mojo.
Comes with black pearloid pickguard shown, original thumb rest, bridge cover (though it's an awkward fit with the BA bridge), and the Hipshot ultralights.
New set of Sunbeams on it, and a set of lightly used flats included.
Choice of case too. Either the tweed one with the red interior (looks appropriate for a 70's instrument) or the plastic shell form fit one (better protection). Neither are original, so it's up to you.
