Details

Here we have a super light-weight single coil Tele-styled bass with the '54 contours. This was put together by me and bears my name on the headstock. At 7 1/4 pounds, it's the lightest full-length 34" scale bass I own. Just as important, it balances perfectly due to the Ultralite tuners. The body is pine and is finished with a thin nitro finish. The neck is a refinished Squire Tele neck. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder. It's currently strung with Fender flatwounds, but they can be replaced with rounds on request. This is an outstanding bass to play for hours on end due to the light weight and balance and has no issues. My only reason for parting with it is that I've just completed another Tele-styled bass and I try to maintain a one in, one out policy.

On request, I have a black pickguard which I can include, though the body has not been drilled for it.

Price is $625 including shipping Conus.

Thank you! It plays well too. For a full scale, it is about as light-weight as you can get while still maintaining balance.

Well, I have a perfectly balanced 34" Bordwell at 6.5 pounds. And I've seen others by some builders at sub 6 pounds that balance. I'm kinda a featherweight bass hunter.

I actually used a high-mass bridge on this in order to help make sure it would stay balanced. Probably could have got it to about 7 lbs with vintage-style Fender bridge.
