EDIT: Price drop from $925 to $850.

I bought this bass wanting to convert it to an 8 string. I knew it was in good condition before I bought it, but when I received it, it was dead mint! I realized I didn't have the heart to butcher it, and I fell in love with it as is. But, now other expenses have come up, so here it goes:

- I believe this is from the original run of REBOPs (2002-2004?).
- Deep set 5-bolt neck = great punch and sustain.
- Gloss white finish w/ no signs of yellowing on classic curved NS body.
- 3-pc maple neck w/ 34" scale rosewood fretboard.
- I bought from original owner who replaced the EMG Hzs with active EMG 35P and 35J pickups and 3-band active EQ w/ mid sweep.
- Mint condition.
- I can throw in a non-original beater hard case or non-original new Ibanez tan Powerpad gig bag.

Price includes shipping in the lower 48 States. I will ship internationally at additional cost. (NOTE: I've shipped a lot of basses outside the US, but due to the COVID 19 pandemic, I don't know if/when an international package will get delivered.)

POSSIBLE trade interests:
- Dingwall NG3 5 or 6 (I gotta see what this buzz is about and hear that low B for myself!)
- Dingwall D-roc 5
- Sandberg Forty Eight
- Music Man Myung signature Bongo
- Yamaha Attitude LTDII Anniversary (purple or black)
- Gibson Midtown Signature
- Tune Somnus 6/Zi-I or II 6 (slanted bridge version)
- Tung Wing
- Fender Elite P II Walnut
- Vintage Fender P in antigua burst
- Vintage (70s-80s) BCR Mockingbird NT
- NS EUB US or EU with concave neck (prefer 5 or 6 string)
- Darkglass 410, 810, or 412 cabinet, preferably new neo versions

I'd say it's a typical chunky Spector feel. I'm away right now, but the internet says the Rebop 4 is either 42 or 46mm nut width. Hope that helps.

Question for you - is the serial number in the control cavity? Usually Rebop basses had the serial number on the back of the headstock, starting with "NB_ _ _ _" but this one doesn't appear to.

The serial number is indeed in control cavity, I believe verifying this is from the first production run of the Rebops in the early 2000s.

Actually, it'll be from the predecessor to the Rebop basses, these were early production models and had either twin J pickups or the HZ pickups like this one did originally.
These were actually called the NS2J CR (even the ones that had the Soapbar pickups) and I've owned a few, the body on these will be solid Maple as well, as opposed to the Alder bodies of the Rebop basses.
These were not actually sold in the US market, and were sold here in Canada and perhaps a few in Europe and the UK, but 90% of these were sold in Canada.
I actually sold these when I ran a guitar store here from 1999-2002 and ordered these for my store from PJ and Stuart at the time.
These are GREAT basses, and I'm sure this one sounds great with the active pickup upgrade.

I'm showing 9.0 lbs. This seems heavy, but it makes sense if this is an early solid maple body version rather than the new lighter alder versions. It also explains the punchy tone!

Yessir. I just listed it on another site, but she's still available here as well.
