Up for grabs is a very new to me JohnK FetF2B Fender/Alembic Preamp. I purchased it used just a couple of weeks ago here when I was going through a bit of a Fender tonestack buying binge. But unfortunately I have a condition known as, “I can’t stop buying things, and I can’t afford to keep everything I buy.” So I am looking to pass it on to a new, loving home to fund further purchases, and/or earn back money I’ve spent so I don’t have to sleep on the couch anymore.
The FetF2B is an authentic recreation of the FenderAlembic tonestack in JFET pedal form. It’s surprising, really, just how tubey this pedal sounds, given that there is no actual tube in it. The “bright” switch is also quite useful, giving your tone some additional sheen to enhance that illusion of actually playing through an old Fender tube amp. And through my headphone rig, there is this ever-so-slightly there grunt present, which enhances the whole experience. As the website states, it adds a great punch to your tone. It’s almost like having a compressor in line (not that it levels your tone out, but that it adds that little bit of a “pop” or "puhch" that a compressor can add to the attack of your note when set accordingly.) It’s the kind of thing that needs to be experienced to be appreciated. If you’re into warm, vintage tone, this will do that in spades.

Here are some very large pics:
The pedal is in excellent condition. I have the box it came to me in, but I don't believe it is the original box. I’m asking what I paid for it, $200 shipped via USPS Priority Mail, Paypal please, within the Continental US. I will ship asap, within 2 business days of receipt of payment.
I’m not interested in trades at this time unless you have a Broughton I might want, which is not an SVPre, HPF/LPF, Solarian, or Silver Deluxe.
Thanks for stopping by.
