US Made G&L SB-2
I believe this is a 2000 or 2001
This bass was in somewhat rough shape when I got it. It looked like the body down by the output jack had seen some damage at some point and someone repaired it. They didn’t do a bad job but the paint they used didn’t match the original white. I decided to just paint it black so it all matches. I used rattle can lacquer black paint with a lacquer clear coat as well. It came out fairly decent but not perfect, as I am not a professional.
You can see on the back and bottom of the body some marks where I set the body down when it wasn’t fully cured yet. There aren’t marks like this on the front of the body, just the back and bottom.
Someone had also made a homemade pickguard for it that looked pretty bad IMO so I ordered a new one from pickguard planet.
It has stack knob controls with volume and tone for each pickup. The control cavity has been shielded. All electronics work perfectly.
The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard. Frets are in good shape. There is a chip out of the “eye-gouger” on the back side of the headstock. The bullet style truss rod nut was replaced by a previous owner with a fender style slotted version. Works fine.
This bass isn’t the prettiest but it plays and sounds amazing.
Ships in a G&L gig bag.
1.5” nut
9lb 3oz
Asking $575 shipped CONUS
