Pickups are Xotic single-coils with wood covers, and with a factory-installed Hum Reduction Inducer (HRI). This is a coil that sits under the pickguard and nulls out 60 Hz hum without altering the single-coil tone. Preamp is the 18V Xotic/TriLogic 3-band with tons of tone options. Preamp trim pot is accessible through the cavity cover (an awesome feature). Controls are: master volume (push-pull active/passive) – blend – vintage/passive tone - bass, mid and treble boost/cut. Toggles are for mid (400-800 Hz) and treble (6000-12000 Hz) frequency centers. Bridge is top-load or string-through. Bathroom scale says: 9.4 lbs.
I will forewarn you about this minor flaw - when I got it the packaging and gig bag smelled like smoke. I am not a smoker, the guy I got it from isn't a smoker and he seemed surprised when I mentioned it to him. Bass smells great, though. I've been airing out the bag, but it might still be slightly odiferous when it gets to you. I'm really sensitive to this, so mentioning it here. Not why I'm selling at all - I just have way too many 5 strings and need to thin the herd. Bass in video is not this bass
