Details

2008 US-made Upton Standard Hybrid, carved top. Includes the extended solo fingerboard. Local sale in New England only, driving distance around Boston, +- 150 miles or so.

US made after Upton brought back manufacturing from Europe.
I'm original owner with original paperwork. Bass has never been shipped. I picked it up at Upton in Connecticut.

Has the extended solo fingerboard, which I guess was standard on the hybrid standard models in 2008, which is now an option.

Also has four small, useful Upton-installed ebony bumpers on the treble side to allow player to lay the instrument down on the pads instead of the body wood ($200 option).

Strung with Spirocore mittels--installed by Upton in Boston--which are well broken in.

RS2 pickup installed by Upton.

Minor signs of gig wear: on upper front apparently from my right hand (see pic) and a little wear from the bag zipper on the lower edge.

Otherwise, this bass is in really good shape, maybe close to excellent. This is a fine instrument that sounds fantastic!

Accessories included: a rubber mute, two bows with cases, gig bags (one thin, one well padded that needs zipper repair), Ingles stand (all metal is fine; rubber on the lower forks where the bass sits is worn).

Happy to answer any questions. PM me your phone number and I'll call you if you wish to discuss any particulars about this fine bass.

Man, that is like my practical dream bass right there, like my next upgrade and something I'd custom order.

Great price. If I had the extra cash right now and didn't have to deal with selling my current bass I'd be even willing to pay that shipping.

I might be willing to make that drive! I was looking at a new Upton hybrid. Do you have some sound clips? Most interested in its arco sound (do both).

Ken is a super guy to deal with, buy with confidence.

(Greetings from Atlanta, amigo!)
I second this. Ken is an excellent person to deal with. Thanks for the Clarus Ken! It sounds amazing!

That’s a lovely bass BTW!

Yes, it’s a beautiful instrument, though I don’t have a clue how to ship it and prefer to keep it local. How about a nice cross country drive to pick up the bass?

I know Upton has their touring van that they're delivering basses with! They're a fantastic company on so many levels.
