I don't know anything about these basses, but I've been looking for a shorter-scale 5 or 6 and this ad piqued my curiosity. I see a 31" Abby on Brady's site, and I was wondering if you could comment on tonal similarities or differences with/between the one in his video here?
Muckelroy Bass 24 fret 31 scale Abby Custom Neck through 7 pc neck Custom finish by Sharon Cline Passive - Muckelroy Basses

First, all the disclaimers!
- I don't play as well as Brady, so reproducing what he does to demo his basses is not quite in my wheelhouse.
- I run through a Mesa Boogie Walkabout 12 and generally bump my mids which colors the tone of all of my instruments somewhat.
- The pickups on mine are Delanos but a different model than he uses with some of his instruments, including that 31".
- I purchased this bass B-G, but it's currently strung with Sunbeams E-C. I really can't comment on how the low B sounds without restringing it - I just don't play my 5's with that setup. However, I recall it was pleasant the way it came.

Differences: My Abby comes with a different set of Delanos (still my favorite pickup brand) which amaze me with their clarity - every note of any chord you can build, if you are so inclined, is clear and discernable from open first position chords all the way up the neck. There are coil splitting switches for each pup, so the range is much broader than the 31" scale Abby. Overall, the tone of my Abby is brighter than the video you linked. In fact, this video of a 32" 6 string Abby on Brady's FB page is a perfect example of the tone of mine (disclaimers still apply). The bass also matches my active basses for volume and clarity.

Why am I selling? I'm starting to ask myself that same question...!
