Putting my heavily modded Yamaha BB400 up for sale. The only original anything is the body and the neck. Wilkinson tuners, Nordstrand vintage P pickup, Hipshot bridge, new wiring and orange drop cap, Dunlop strap locks, barrel knobs, and it had a full setup last year. It only has gotten used for recording so very little use since then.

This was well used before I bought it. Plenty of marks on the body. Some on the neck, but none that will effect playability. Nothing is major, but wanted to be clear...this is not pristine. This has been played a lot long before me.

This bass has a resonant body. Great sounding bass. Records beautifully. Have really enjoyed it.

For the moment this is for sale locally only. I don't have a box to ship it in. I'm in Southern NH, not far from Southern Maine and not far from Boston.

Comes with the original pleather gig bag.

No trades. Money is going to a new build.

Thanks!

So if I might ask... how does the tuner mounted to the back of the tuner work? I like that look....is that a separate mount? GLWTS BTW...

It's held in place by a screw from the tuner itself, and rests against the back of the headstock. It's really only good in a pinch. Not a fast or wildly accurate tuner tbh.

I almost got a BB300 as my first bass in 1985.
Sounded great, as did the MIJ Fender Squier P, but I took home a Kramer.
Resonant indeed...These are solid, inspiring basses with a nice chunky neck. GLWTS!

Have had some nice memories with this bass. Such a great bass, but I have a short scale on the way, and want to order a medium scale 5 and need the funds. Someone will get a really amazing bass for small money for sure.
