It's been in the garage for a bit, so it will need some cleaning, and the felt pads on the clips will want a little glue. But it was just fired up and it Works Fine.

It does not require a pre-amp or a mixer. You just clamp the flat elements onto the bridge and use the standard 1/4" plug from your amp to the pickup's receptacle.
Some players like to use this one in tandem with, say, a Gage Realist and then blend the two. But on its own, it will deliver a lot of sound.
