Up for your consideration is my 2002 PRS EB4 bass in excellent condition. Fantastic playability and tone to die for. No issues at all - everything works as it should. Do your homework on this rare instrument as they do not come up for sale often. There is one very tiny ding in the finish on the front of the bass and some very light finish swirling in the finish which is to be expected given the fact that the bass is 19 years old. The bass comes with a hardshell case which is in great condition. Trade value 1500.00. Here are the specs:
34” scale
9.4 lbs
1.625” nut width
19MM bridge spacing
Alder body
Maple neck Rosewood board
Hipshot D Tuner
Hit me up with any questions that you might have. I will ship at the buyers expense. Thanks for looking!

spectorj - I am now the owner of that bass. It is everything you described. A few notes:

1) The Hipshot Detuner is the 2 stage variety - it can be set up for 2 different drop tunings. Thanks for stashing the allen wrench for the hip shot on the back of the headstock. It's still there.
2) The bass has an active preamp ( the switch turns it on/off ). When I pulled the cavity cover, there were 2 Lithium 9V batteries in there and a good sized circuit board. A peculiar setup as the only other control you have is the tone pot. Did you put those Lithium 9v batteries in there?
3) How did you figure it was a 2002? Based on the S/N on the back, it's a 2001. There were 65 EB4s made in 2000 ( S/N 00007 to 00072 ). For 2002, the S/N ran from S/N 00073 to 00199. That would make it this bass a 2001. According the PRS website there were only slightly less than 650 EB4s total from 2000 to 2004. That makes them somewhat rare.
4) How did you manage to get the picture to show a blue for the center color? It's a really dark finish and the center color is hard to see under normal lighting. When I shine a LED flashlight on it, it looks green.
5) The stamped 10 on the upper right corner on the back of the headstock indicates that this bass is a "10 Top". Were you aware of that?
6) The bridge is getting a bit rough looking and the nickel plating is worn off in spots.

It does play well and adjustments are a breeze.

Is there anything else you can tell me about the bass? Did you buy it new? If not, do you know where it came from before you owned it?

I don't plan on playing it much at all and will stash it safely so a piece of PRS history can be preserved.

If you were ever to consider selling your bass, let me know. I am looking for an EB4 with a rosewood neck.
I especially like the blue body color. Thank You jeff

I no longer have the PRS EB4. I was content just letting it sit in the case as a collector. A local person who REALLY enjoys PRS guitars ( like ones I really can't afford ) thought that this PRS EB4 would make an excellent addition to his collection so I sold it to him.
