Fewer than 200 Elias electric basses were hand-made in Canada in the late ’70s and early ’80s by Peter Elias who traditionally made uprights (and still does in Switzerland https://eliasbasses.com/about/). This bass #081 and has a Cherry body, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, multi-laminate neck with rosewood/ebony stringers. Has Alembic JJ pickups and Alembic active filter circuit. Sounds great, frets +98% but needs a plek (there are some high spots) and a new nut. Very rare, the woods are only those that could be found in that timeframe...a very thick Brazilian fingerboard. $2500.00+shipping.
