Details

Here's a great specimen of the Lakland 55-94, in a beautiful Tealburst color, weighing only 8.3lbs. It's a 2011 model, with Lakland electronics. Sounds like a 55-94 should. It's been played, but very well taken care of. It has the original hard case.

I'm looking to trade it for a 5-string jazz from Mike Lull or Carey Nordstrand. The traditional-looking ones are preferred (Lull M5V or Nordy vJ5). Let me know what you have!
EDIT: Not looking for trades anymore. I found a bass I want and need the money.

Closing this as I'll be gone for the holiday. I found a Lull so I'll be putting this for sale when I return.

Are there any nicks, dents, etc. I owned a Nordy vJ5 that I sold a few years ago and wish I hadn’t. It was hands down the best bass I’ve ever owned. I’ve never played a Lakland, how does it feel compared to a Lull and Nordy?

Thanks for the interest and the questions!
It's a 10 year old bass and it has been gigged, so it is not mint. I take excellent care of my basses but this one has had a couple of previous lives before I got it. I can try to photograph close ups of the little imperfections. You can't see anything from a foot away.
It is a completely different beast from the Nordy vj5. Same level of craftsmanship. Neck has a different profile but it is just as nice. But it is another sonic experience. While the Nordy vj5 is a jazz bass, Lakland aimed the 55-94 to be its own thing. Mixing the bridge MM pickup with the neck J created several tonal options. You can even get close to a jazz tone by using the coil tap switch. No wonder several session cats love the 94, one bass that can do it all. I just prefer the plain old jazz bass myself.
