Sadly, up for sale is my Mint Condition Sadowsky NYC Deluxe Satin 5-24 Modern.
Bass was built in Roger’s NYC shop in 2020 and is all original.
Thanks to Covid the bass has seen very little use and has been used primarily as a practice bass in a non-smoker home.
Bass is very easy on the back and weighs in at a petite 8.25 lbs. on my digital scale.
Bass will ship in a new Gator case and will include all original paperwork.
Asking $4100 which will include CONUS shipping.
I’m not really interested in any trades at this time due to a cash flow shortage but may consider MTD 535 trades.

The front picture that is posted pretty much represents the condition of the bass but I’ll get another picture of the front up tonight. Also the weight is posted at 8.25 lbs.

I have a similar Satin Deluxe Modern, it slays in the mix in a way that is difficult to describe. Big and round, but still cuts. Plays like a beast, too.

Yes, these basses are very special instruments which this bass represents in its ability to sound awesome, lay in the mix perfectly and yet plays effortlessly.
It takes someone like Roger Sadowsky with half a century of bass building experience to craft an instrument of this quality.

Yes, like all Deluxe Satin basses it has a chambered body.
Bass will be shipped in a new Gator case.

Nice bass. The Satin Series line was right in that price-point sweet spot where you still get top NYC craftsmanship, featherweight and quality electronics/features. The German Sadowsky's are nice but the USA models are a step above. Too bad they discontinued the Satin Series.

Thanks Tony I couldn’t agree with you more.
Roger is a master craftsman and this beautiful bass is a testament to his bass building.
As much as I love this bass and hate to sell it I sadly must.

These Satin Modern's are awesome. Beautiful to look at and beautiful to listen too. Wonder finger style playing. Unique in so many ways but sound fantastic live or recorded. This looks to be a real nice one.

Yes, the bass has the “Legendary” Sadowsky two band preamp which many bass players consider to be the “Holy Grail” of bass preamps.
This is the original preamp that came with the bass and has never been changed.
The bass is all original just as it left Roger’s shop with no mods or changes.
