This is an early MTD Grendel 5 made in Czech Republic. Very high quality and somewhat rare. Has a few features that are different than the later versions, like the Bartolini Jazz pickups, Bartolini NTMB preamp which has a toggle for the 3 midrange presets ('finger/flat/slap') and a Hipshot B style bridge. 35" scale, 24 frets, Wenge fingerboard, 19mm spacing at bridge, neck width at zero fret is 1 7/8", neck width at 24th fret just over 3", Shaller tuners. VG condition. The bass has two small finish cracks near the control cavity cover and a paint chip near the rear strap hanger(both pictured). No other issues with the bass and everything works as it should and sounds great with a tight low B. This is one of the best 5 string basses for the money under $1,000.00 IMHO and will ship in a TKL case. Shipping is included in my price to the lower 48. Thanks for looking!
