This is a compact, lightweight, cool sounding and powerful combo amp:
250 watts RMS/500 watts peak
Weight: 28.2lb/12.8kg
Dimensions: 15.7” x 14.75” x 18.14” /399mm x 375mm x 461mm
One of my bands uses in-ear monitors, and I got this amp to have something small and portable. Initially, I got a GK MB112, but I wanted a little more brightness, and the ability to aim the speaker at my head, so I traded for this KB12, and it has filled that role perfectly; it's easy to move, simple to dial-in, and sounds great!
But after a couple gigs and rehearsals, I found that I was OK relying on the in-ears and going with no amp onstage…unless we were playing a large or an outdoor venue, at which point I need to bring out “the big stuff” anyhow.
So, this amp is like-new; it was only used for 3-4 shows - otherwise it's been sitting in my basement.
Although rated for 250 watts, this amp is not "SVT loud", but it is VERY capable for it's size. Just bear in mind that it's a single 12" in a cabinet just a little bigger than a milk-crate.
Speaking of that 12" driver, it provides a really coherent "point source" for my tone - no crossovers or tweeters required, and the result is a very balanced representation of the sound of a bass guitar.
If you need more volume, you can unplug the internal speaker and run into a larger cabinet - and I was impressed with the sound of the amp section when I did so!
I installed chicken-head knobs to make it easier to see my settings - plus I think they look cool - but I have, and will include, the original knobs (I included a stock picture so you could compare).
PayPal preferred, shipping charges negotiable (I can get discounted shipping through work) and PM me if you have any questions.
Thanks!
