Ibanez BTB845V – Modified
I’m going a different direction in my bass playing. OK. I buy instruments to gig, not collect. Here’s what I have done to it to make this bass a comfortable, quiet, dependable gig bass, and Ibanez has engineered the headstock so even though 33-inch scale, the bass takes any standard long scale set of strings:
1) Professionally set up with a B-G nut instead of the stock E-C
2) USA Bart CBC pickups with EMG preamp – ultimate versatility, lowest noise.
3) MV, Balance, stack B-T, stack Mid level/frequency, extra passive treble roll-off to tame new string zing, drop any leftover residual noise, or just a different character, and in-line bass cut capacitor to the bridge pickup on the mini switch
4) Battery box upgraded
5) Hipshot USA Ultralite tuners
6) Relieved forearm
7) Ibanez Powerpad gig bag included
The specs have changed since this bass was manufactured. I have the Jatoba fingerboard.
$750 OBO includes shipping CONUS, payment by Paypal.
