Up for trade is an incredible 2021 Muckelroy Ensemble Custom 4
I've been back and forth on letting this one go, but I'm going to leave it up as a trade feeler for now.
Features:
-33” Scale
-Flamed Maple Top and Headstock Cap
-Ebony Fingerboard
-3-Piece Maple Neck
-Alder Body
-Kent Armstrong Custom Dual Coil Pickups (Switchable)
-Muckelroy 3-Band Preamp
-Active/Passive Push-Pull Toggle
-Passive Tone Control
-Hipshot Tuners
-Hipshot A Style Bridge
-Slight Fingerboard Tilt (Better vision of the front face while playing)
-Dunlop Dual Design Strap-locks
-Tort Control Cavity Covers
-1.5” Nut Width
-18mm String Spacing At the Bridge (Adjustable)
-Currently strung up with TI Jazz flats.
-7 lb. 9 oz. on my postal scale
-Reunion Blues Gig Bag
-Finished in June of 2021
I got this one in a trade from the original owner here on Talkbass. It came to me with Aguilar Electronics that sounded pretty great, but I wanted added versatility and coil switching.
I sent it back to Brady at Muckelroy Basses, and he swapped out the electronics and control cavity covers for me. The new Kent Armstrong Dual Coils have 3-way toggles for Parallel, Single-Coil, and Series modes for each pickup. This gives you tons of different tonal options, and the Muckelroy Preamp is also a huge improvement over the original Aguilar OBP.
The bass is in very good to excellent condition and is currently set up with a nice straight neck, low action, and solid intonation.
Brady is one of the best luthiers out there, and this Muck is truly an incredible instrument.
Open to Trades for 4 or 5 string basses 34” Scale or Shorter +/- $$$ in either direction. Local deals preferred, but I'm open to shipping for the right trade.
Trade Value: $3000
