Been VERY hard for me to part with this one (as you can tell by the on again, off again Ad), so buy it before I change my mind ... again :>)

Rare MUSICMAN SR-5 HS with Maple board for sale only.

Jan. 2008 build. I'm told it still has the 2007 Ceramics build spec as the changeover to Alnico occurred in April. Killer tone/action and near mint. Gets that classic early 2000's era ceramic tone out of the bridge, but lets you get more organic if desired with that neck single engaged. This bass is in like N.O.S condition. Ships with original hardshell case.

WOW! Beautiful bass, and in a not too common configuration! :drool:

I have a 2007 Honeyburst SR5HH and it's been my clear favorite since I got it. The pickups and preamp aren't classic Stingray, but all 5 pickup positions sound great (I usually use all 5 on a gig), and the 3-band EQ is extremely flexible. Like you said, you can get modern to vintage tones and everything in between.

These are fantastic basses!

If I hadn't just dropped $2K on my ultra jazz V, I'd be all over this. These are (imho) better and easier to play, especially to slap, than the HH models. What a great deal for somebody.
