For sale: 1982 Wal MK1 Lacewood facings, in excellent condition with OHSC, the bass was restored and refinished (gloss body and neck) by Larry Davis in 2016. When I received the bass the clear coat had softened considerably, so it was sent to Larry Davis where the finish was redone and reshielded, replaced old caps with new ones to keep the electronics up to date, new saddles (direct from Wal), new Schaller tuners, the single (A/D) string retainer relocated and a second retainer added (direct from Wal), the original tuners, saddles, and strap pins will be included.
Weight is 9lbs 4oz, nut width is 1-5/8" to 11/16" (42 mm) with soft V profile. It's been professionally setup and plays perfectly, original frets and the neck is straight as an arrow. Currently strung with DR Sunbeams 40-100 strings with super low action.
Full disclosure: some of the adjustable pole pieces are a little stiff but this does not affect the tone, the pickup heights are fully adjustable as well, the 3 pole pieces that feel stuck are on neck p/up, both E string poles, and one G string pole closest to neck, they are all set at proper height.
