I was mostly interested in just trying it out. I would think someone with a Quick Silver would be into a temp swap for a month or so to try out something I have got. If the Sentinel or Sun Ray doesn't pique interest, I have about 200 other pedals to offer for temp swap. Pretty much anything is in play for a temp swap.

I would still entertain a permanent swap but at this point in time my pref is temporary as it is my understanding that Quick Silver albiet limited in nature, sonically does not compare to what I am offering. I would like to verify that with my tastes and opinions...hence the preference for a temp swap.

I will say I have done this before with great success....once w a return and once where we both decided to make the trade permanent so it's a great way to try things (after all isn't that what most ofmys want to do anyway?).

There have been some talks offline w a few friends from this site about creating a group for even tourbox trying things out. With all things, you need someone to step up and lead the effort...but I would participate in such a program.

I do temp trades all the time, I have multiple item swapped rn. IDK if it requires it's own special section but if there was one I'd be all over it.

Agreed...I don't think this is something that anyone would want TB staff participating in. I presume TB wouldn't want any part in it either or they would have done it. Ultimately, you need a small network of people who trust each other and are willing to share things that others want to try out.

Best bet might be to just setup your own trade-to-try matchmaker somewhere else. Membership would be purely by invitation, for obvious reasons. Hosting fees would be minuscule for the amount of storage required or the traffic it would generate. Not a difficult thing to do. I belong to a few private focused discussion, technology, and business forums. They work quite well for their small memberships.

Yeah, I don't think TB is interested in collaborating with cosmicevan even a little bit. :roflmao:

I don't know....I think we are good here. This isn't a sale thread it is a trade thread...and even a temporary trade at that...and we are discussing the logistics a bit. Seems right in line with being directly related...and unless I am missing something, none of the comments seem to negative towards the deal?

Pretty sure the purpose of those rules is to stop people from critiquing pricing. Discussing logistics like this is in no way a form of trolling, and I would say it is totally relevant to the transaction being offered
