Excellent shape-recently purchased. 8.6lbs, real rosewood board on a nice straight neck, most likely alder body I am more comfortable with a thinner neck.no nicks and very few light scratches. I think G&L downsized the body and went to 6-bolt by '98. Personally, I prefer this earlier design (and own one, myself). Great bass!

It’s interesting how the string tree is so close to the nut on this model. I found a Japanese tribute model at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar in Seattle with the same configuration. I thought it was a mistake but now I see from yours it’s just an earlier string tree placement.
