Up for sale is a really cool “rat rod” restoration of a 1973 musicmaster bass. It sounds so good.
Parts:
Original bridge
Original body
Original neck/neck plate/nut
Curtis Novak GT-V Goldfoil wound for bass (seriously killer pickup - I have two basses with Curtis’ Bi-sonics in it and this very much holds its own)
Hipshot Ultralight clovers
Old aluminum knobs from a 70’s radio
Older Squier bronco pickguard
Neck is solid as a rock. Plenty of life in the truss rod. Honestly I like the feel of the neck more than most p basses I’ve played.
The finish… has lived a lifetime of pain. I’ll post more pics tomorrow. Honestly, I wanted to refinish it but the color looks so cool it left me conflicted.
Asking $850 shipped CONUS. Potentially open to trades as well. Maybe a Roadworn P or J bass?
