I had one of these for many, many years. I liked it so much better than the 'classic' B15N at least for most things IMO. The B15S is much louder and much cleaner and 'open' sounding in the mids and treble, yet still completely warm and organic sounding especially with the original power tubes. It was my home studio and practice amp for 10 years or so. Eventually I gave it to a friend and his studio after he did a band I was playing with a big favor in recording and producing our 1st record for not much money. Since then it's been in constant use and has been recorded on hundreds of sessions ranging from metal to jazz to rock to pop and gospel. You can hear some sound samples on Transient Sound's website: Transient Sound | Chicago Recording Studio Does it do the James Jamerson Motown sound as well as the B15N? No, of course not. But I think it does just about anything else better.
All that to say that $900 bucks is a great deal on a classic amp that many people would love especially in a studio environment.

It comes with the original CTS 15" which is pretty crucial IMO. It works as it should and sounds excellent. I've tried an EV 15B and an eminence Beta 15A in there and when I went back to the CTS it hit me the best, very punchy and warm with creamy grind at moderate volumes. Comes with the rolling cart and the original cover.. Local pickup only since this would be a beast to ship.
