Placing back on the market because I need to fund a five-string purchase I just made (not interested in trades).
The El Toro basses, particularly with Mahogany bodies in this good of shape, are hard to find.
I have taken a complete set of pictures below, but as we all know, some player wear such as scratches, etc. do not photo well.

Full disclosure: This bass was listed here last year, and previous owner to me complained about several issues with the bass that were all corrected by him prior to selling it to me. Among the things he fixed on the bass:
1) a refret job
2) a new nut
3) heat-straightening the neck
4) re-soldering of all electronics
Since I have owned it I have enjoyed playing it and in my opinion, there are no issues that remain on the bass. Neck and action are all great in my experience. I think it has a new lease on life and is ready for 40 more years of enjoyment. But just wanted everyone to be aware of previous (now fixed) issues.

$1600 shipped within CONUS. No international shipping. no trades.

Weight of the bass is 9 1/2 pounds (as shown in pic).
Confirmed it is the 1.625" tweener neck width.
strung with Labella Low Tension Flats
comes in the standard Gator padded gig bag

Convo me for questions.

I'm quite sure it is jazz width. 1.5 inches. I won't be able to measure for a day or two (I'm away from home at moment).

Best El Toro I have ever owned.
I'm in downsize mode, so it's now available.
these basses, particularly with Mahogany bodies in this good of shape are getting rarer and rarer. Not a museum piece, plays and sounds fantastic.

$1900 shipped within CONUS. No international shipping. no trades.

Weight of the bass is 9 1/2 pounds (as shown in pic).

comes in a Fender branded G&G hard case.

Sweeeeet. I'll bet it's about 1.65 since if it's 1.5" I'd be far too tempted. Love my 1.5" nut El Toro (got as a loaded body) and put on an SB2 neck. With it's fretless mate they're a pair of Natural Born Killers. GLWTS.

It would be exceptionally rare if 1.5", and it doesn't look like it to me in the pix. Most had the 1 3/4" neck (which was usually about 1 11/16" in reality, after shaping and sanding).

To the OP: I'm curious if this is a bass you recently purchased...and if so, from Ohio?

I just bought a five string, and trying to keep a one-in-one-out discipline. Thus, this one is back on the market.

I'm moving at the end of September.
If anyone is still interested, it will be available for a few weeks, as I'd rather sell it before then.
If it doesn't sell before then, well I have no problem keeping it forever.
