Hey all,
Up for your consideration today….
this started life as a MIJ Bacchus wood line craft series 5 string. I got it in trade a while back. It’s pretty light a bit over 8.5lbs. When I got it, there was a slight hump in the neck on the bass side….. so, I contacted Andrew Drake to have a replacement neck made. Those that are familiar with Drake know he is a very talented luthier. He made a neck out of 1/4 sawn roasted maple, one piece with a dark tight grained piece of Pau Ferro for the board. Vintage size stainless wire. Hip shot tuning gears and bridge. Swamp ash body, I’m guessing original Bacchus pickups, single coil, sound really nice. Electronics, Aguilar obp-3. It’s V-Pan-Passive Treble-mid-bass. The active treble is flat, wires are tied off in the control cavity, works great like this. Also, active passive switch, and push pull mid select on mid knob.
It’s a really nice playing and sounding bass. But, I’ve played it once since getting the neck in September. I just don’t play 5. I have a custom 4 from Prairie Heart Customs, and another in the woks. So, I’m gonna let this go cheap, the neck alone was close to 500. I’m gonna do 650 firm and for now, pickup only. I’ll meet at either exit 98 rest stop or exit 74 rest stop on the GSP. Cash, or PP friends and family only.
Any questions, please message me. Thanks.
