Well now I'm not sure since the MIJ or CIJ part is scratched. Let me track down the listing where I originally bought it.

UPDATE: the listing where I got the neck says it is MIJ from 1994 Fujigen, but I cannot verify his source

Prior owner scratched off Made in Japan at the rear base of the neck for some reason but serial number remains.

yes a slight bit but pretty minor. It likes to hang about here (reflection in my TV). I tried it with a few different straps with same results. It’s so light though that it’s easy to hold where you want it.

Final set of questions before I potentially "pull the trigger" on this bass:

1.) Is intonation a problem at all with the two strings per saddle bridge?

2.) Is that bridge sturdy enough to stand up to a bassist with a "heavy right hand"? (that would be ME)

P.S. - I have a set of great Hipshot Ultralight tuners with the "cloverleaf" tuning keys that would look perfect on this bass, if I decided to cancel out the slight neck dive.

I thought about adding a set of ultralight tuners. I think that would definitely fix the minor neck dive.

As far as intonation with these two saddle bridges, they are definitely tricky. No promises haha. Maybe find a tele player to help. Heavy handed is no issue though.

This Gotoh Wilkinson bridge works great and also looks good as a replacement for the stock bridge. You can adjust the angle of each brass barrel to give more intonation adjustment vs the stock bridge. I used one on a previous '54 reissue Fender bass and it worked perfectly.

To reduce the neck dive, you could also use Gotoh GBR640N Res-o-lite tuners which would be a drop-in replacement for the stock tuners, but will cut the weight at the headstock by about .4 lbs if I recall correctly.
