Bass #1 features an ash body, maple neck and board, and brand new Seymor Duncan Basslines active J/J pickups and Seymor Duncan 3 band active preamp. Slammin! Such a cool bass.

Bass #2 features a one piece monkey pod body! This was only available in 1995 I think. The body is gorgeous. It has a maple neck with some birdseye figuring, and a rich rosewood board. This has the stock active P/J pickups and preamp with some coccobolo knobs from Warwick. This bass is 80% of a Fodera Monarch standard for 15% of the money!

Top quality basses for a great price. Someone should take em both. Wish I could. I own a Fernandes Retro Rocket Elite Strat & it’s a fantastic instrument.

Just curious, when have you ever seen a multiple piece fretboard?

Yep. 2 piece rosewood board on a Bunker headless 5 string. Not sure if it was a build / construction consideration or a case of "...use up what I got".

FWIW: the bridge on #1 is a 2 piece Gotoh with "faux roller" saddles. They slide back 'n forth on a square post and lock in place via grub screw on the leading aspect. I have the 5 string counterpart in my bin. By all rights, you could separate the anchor block and saddle plate for a Warwick / Alembic vibe if installed on another project.

Both are best buys!
