For sale is a G&L El-Toro I've owned for a few years. The bass is in outstanding shape (not even for its age) and has one small dent on the back that's pictured. The neck is pretty close to perfect (nothing I can find) and the finish is in outstanding shape. I think this base was a case queen for most of its life and it shows.
When I got the bass, it had a ski jump on the bass side of the neck. I brought it to a luthier and he removed all the frets, planed the finger board so its level, refretted it and made a new nut. The truss rod works perfectly and the truss rod nut is in great shape.
The electronics work perfectly with no issues. I replaced the battery connector since the old one was showing it's age.
It has dunlop strap locks installed and they'll come with. I'll include the adapters for your strap. I also have the original buttons and they'll be included also.
These are outstanding basses and were only made for a few years. They don't sound like jazz basses or L2Ks. The sound has a nice mid presence with plenty of bottom end and when the treble boost is switched on sounds pretty great for slap. The bass boost mode puts both pickups on series and is actually more useable than series on my L2K.
The original case is included which is also in great shape.
