Thank you. I’m wondering if it’s a custom neck with a wide nut. The lakland spec for production models is 1.5. I love lakland basses and jazz pickups though not a fan of jazz nut widths which are usually 1.5”. P basses go wider, my preference. though some are as low as 1 5/8”

do you really mean 1 7/8”. Could you take a pic of the nut with a ruler parallel to the nut.

Yikes, I need to go back to kindergarten. Or at least have my coffee before replying.

It's 7/16ths not 7/8ths, just a hair under 1.5"

I’m just the opposite, I’d like to find a P with a jazz neck. I’ll also in Maine, maybe we can frankenbass a couple of fenders

Hi. It’s likely easier to find P with J width. good luck.
Though, I don’t have free time to do custom builds anymore.

Lakland Duck Dunn P bass has a Jazz width neck. They are amazing IMHO
