This Andrew Drake "Betty" semi-hollow body bass was built in 2015. It is made of sapele with a maple cap. It has a gloss lacquer finish. The neck is quarter sawn hard maple with a macassar ebony fretboard. 12" radius, 1.5" nut, 31" scale, chunky profile, and satin finish. The pickups are TV Jones Thunder Blades. The bridge is a Hipshot D with .750" spacing.

Bass was originally passive. I had professionally installed an Audere classic preamp - Vol/bal, high/low mid, bass/treble controls. With the thunder blades it sounds just incredible!

The bass has been played but carefully handled; there is only the lightest wear, with no significant damage or repairs. It comes with the original custom (and gorgeous) Ameritage case.

Asking $2150, no trades please.

Beautiful bass. What are those red strings?
And here I was just starting to search for short scale semi-hollows (and I have always had a desire for a Drake)
Since I don't have much experience with active systems, does making it active take away (or perhaps amplify) the hollow characteristics?
Yeah, I was curious about the strings for a 31" as well. I expect flat wounds on this could be great.
