I decided to go all in on a custom J6 so now putting up some amazing basses from the collection. This one’s hard to let go but my vintage Ps are more of a fit for me.

2002 NYC in near mint shape. Master grade old growth Brazilian slab rosewood fingerboard. Solid alder body. Weight just under 9lbs. All stock with the Sadowsky pre, vtv etc. comes with a protec contego case. Tone is nuanced, rich and clear. Awesome sustain and even notes across the board. New this would be $7000 and not sound as good!

This Sadowsky was an inspiration for my custom 6 I’m having built because I liked it so much. Best Sadowsky I’ve ever played. Just like this pic but a 6 I’m getting

Wow. Very cool bass. Make sure to share some pics of your new 6'er when you get it. GLWS!

it is lake placid blue. The neck definitely is nitro and feels amazing. The body I’m not 100percent sure. I think it’s real thin poly. The sound is very open to me
Thank you! If you have a spec sheet and can post it, I'd love to see it.

What does the Ultra Vintage formulation refer to? I'm not familiar with this model.....

Full size jazz body
Non chambered (greatly prefer this tone wise)
20 fret vintage style neck

This also has the master grade brazillian upgraded fingerboard board ($800+ option these days). Which makes it the most similar kind of sadowsky to an early 60s slab board jazz bass.

That board alone is worth the price of admission

Beautiful bass! I have a NYC 2006 UV also in LPB. Is that a stock or custom knob on the bass/treble pot? Cool!

Attached is a screen shot of a 2005 UV Jazz taken from the Sadowsky web site. This is NOT the OPs bass but the bass/treble pot looks very much like the one on the OPs bass. I think it is reasonable to assume that is the way it shipped out originally.
