Dual reverse P pickups were made popular by BC Rich, Lee Sklar on his Frankenstein bass, Alien Audio - even those Yamaha BB2000 basses in the 80s had a reverse P pickup along with the blade bridge pickup. Sandberg also reverses their split P style pickup in the CA series basses. It DOES make a difference reversing the position, as it tightens up the low notes and lower strings by having the pickup closer to the bridge.
